We all want to transition to a more digital orientation in our businesses and organizations. For some, it requires a major investment of technology and staff. For others, it is more of a cultural issue.
According to a recent survey by Econsultancy and reported by MarketingCharts.com, the secrets to making a truly ‘digital-native culture’ are a bit surprising.
The top 5 areas are:
- Customer-centric 58%
- Data-driven 40%
- Innovative 28%
- Collaborative 28%
- Agile 26%
I’m surprised by this list because the top area, a customer-centric approach, is the best way to build a digital culture. It seems to me that the customer-centric approach would make you a better digital company or any kind of company. It is funny how the more we look for the quick answers, the more it turns to understanding our customers, our donors and our stakeholders.
