CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa—Amperage Marketing today announced the retirement of Jim Thebeau, chairman of the board.
“I’ve greatly enjoyed working with my Amperage partners and employees over the past two years as we all worked together to introduce new services, provide great customer service and grow the company,” said Thebeau. “We have a great team and I know they will do a great job. As I retire from Amperage, I’m starting a new chapter by launching Annex Analytics to help companies transform their sales, marketing and business data into revenue opportunities. Annex and Amperage will continue to work together under a partnership agreement. My thanks to everyone at Amperage for making our time together so fulfilling.”
Thebeau’s career spans more than 30 years of marketing communications and public relations work. He spent 10 years in marketing communications at Rockwell Collins before joining Henry Russell Bruce in 1997. In 2009, he was named CEO. After a successful merger between HRB and ME&V in 2014, Thebeau became Chairman of the Board of Amperage Marketing. He maintains working relationships with the University of Iowa School Journalism and Tippie School of Business as a speaker on marketing and branding, and he has served on the Tanager Place board for the past 17 years. Thebeau was recognized by the Cedar Valley American Advertising Federation as a Co-Ad Person of the Year in 2014.
“We are glad to have benefited from Jim’s extensive experience, time and work at Amperage, and we wish him the best in his retirement,” said Bryan Earnest, president and CEO of Amperage Marketing. “Knowing Jim and his energy, I’m sure he’ll turn his passion for PR and marketing into a new project in his retirement.”
