When Northwest Bank needed to increase the usage of its mobile banking application, Northwest Bank tasked AMPERAGE with developing a unique campaign to promote the excellent service and convenience of the banking app.

Meet Cynthia
AMPERAGE created Cynthia, a character who embodies the Northwest Bank brand and target audience, to help the bank connect with its customers. Cynthia is a savvy, working mom with a busy life, just like many of Northwest Bank’s customers. Cynthia forged an emotional connection with customers who need the flexibility to complete any banking task anytime and anywhere.

We developed an integrated campaign of digital ads; radio and website advertising; and a mobile banking Facebook trivia contest—supported by boosted posts and weekly prize winners leading up to drawing a grand prize winner to receive a free iPad®— to motivate bank customers to sign up for mobile banking.
Measure
Increased Usage
After only three months of the Meet Cynthia campaign, AMPERAGE helped Northwest Bank move the needle to substantially increase the number of customers downloading the Northwest Mobile Banking app. In addition, the Facebook trivia contest drew more than 1,000 entrants.
