3 key factors to marketing mission-driven organizations

We understand nonprofits and that marketing may make you uncomfortable. Contrary to popular belief, though, you need to do this. Consider that every day you’re “selling” the mission to donors, members, foundations, sponsors and volunteers.

You don’t have millions to spend on marketing, and that’s OK. You need a communications strategy, and strategy isn’t about the money. It’s about laser-focused goals. A powerful marketing strategy will energize your messaging and get you results.

We have immersed ourselves in nonprofit storytelling. Let us help tell your story. With an array of marketing tactics, powered by smart communications strategy, we can move the needle for you.

Iowa Irish Fest

AMPERAGE has been the creative partner for the Cedar Valley Irish Cultural Association’s annual Iowa Irish Fest since 2014 in downtown Waterloo.

Over the years, we’ve developed strategies to increase the weekend event’s success and further its mission. AMPERAGE focuses on tactical event planning, including brand image and public relations. We’ve created a compelling, unified brand image for the festival, developed comprehensive, integrated media plans utilizing diverse online and offline channels, and led extensive PR efforts with regional and national media prior to and during the festival.

Working with AMPERAGE, the 12th Annual Iowa Irish Fest:

  • Set an attendance record for the 12th consecutive year, with an increase of more than 20% over 2017, from 38,500 to 48,389 attendees
  • Sold more than 12,600 tickets in advance
  • Increased Facebook followers from 1,877 to 13,249 from 2014 to 2018
  • Reached new regional and national Irish and Celtic organizations for future partnership opportunities

– Brent Watkins, Creative Services Manager, Goodwill of the Heartland

“Our organization was going through a leadership transition and determined that we needed to refocus and rebrand. AMPERAGE partnered with us and helped us assess our status and capabilities to move forward. Our new name and message has been positively received and welcomed both within our organization and throughout the community. We could not have executed this organizational change alone.”
