The Marion Public Library Capital Campaign
Starting The Next Chapter
The Marion Public Library needed a new building to better accommodate community events for people of all ages in the growing town. AMPERAGE fundraising consultants conducted a feasibility study and discovered it would be possible to proceed with a capital campaign to raise $3 million.
After a derecho damaged the previous building, the immediate need for a new building became apparent. During that same time, the AMPERAGE team responded to pandemic-driven marketing demands by creating online campaign tools including a video and case statement.
The Results were amazing!
- The campaign raised more than $3.1 million – surpassing the $3 million goal.
- A new space now welcomes Marion community members of all ages, from after-school reading programs to senior citizen gatherings.
- Marion Public Library was able to navigate a successful campaign with electronic materials during the pandemic.
