This is my 600th blog: No fanfare, no balloons and no bands. Just another post in the 2 million blog posts that are written each day.
There are three things I’ve learned from studying the metrics: 1) Keep it short; 2) The marketing world is under rapid change; and 3) Current pop events sell better than just good ideas.
I could prop up my numbers by inserting current event words such as Kardashians in the blog title. I could, but that would hurt my brand. Lower numbers and staying true to who you are is key in today’s marketing world—and stuffing the tags with keywords such as Kardashian.
Also, a shout out to WordPress. In the many years and in the many blogs, I’ve never experienced any issues. Thank you for your hard work and focus on the writer. And, thank you for the opportunity.
