Marketing Amongst the Pews
I’m a doodler. I love to make little drawings during meetings, church, speeches, etc. It helps me think and process.
I started doodling as a kid. For me, it just stuck into adulthood.
The reason I’m talking about this is that I also love when people really understand their target audience’s pain points. I attended a Catholic wedding recently and found a little nugget of marketing genius among the hymnals and Bibles. It was titled “Pew Art.” Simple, loud and literal and totally utilitarian for parents and their children.
You don’t put Pew Art in the pews unless you really understand the daily problems your target audience experiences. Sure, you could hope kids would just listen, but some need an activity to keep them still and focused. This church nailed it.
