What Kind of Marketing Friend Are You? Volume 2
Over the Fourth of July weekend, we visited a lot of restaurants. Most were fine, although many suffer from poor process or training.
One experience stopped us all in our tracks when it was delivered to our table. It was such a simple idea, we couldn’t believe that this was the only restaurant of those we tried that adopted this wonderful idea.
We have a refrigerator full of restaurant leftover boxes, yet in the sea of mediocrity, one box stands alone.
Is this marketing? Absolutely. It added to and reaffirmed our brand experience. And what did it cost the restaurant? A $2 Sharpie and training. Is this restaurant a marketing friend? Without a doubt.
Marketing friendship is made up of hundreds of digital-to-personal touches, and sometimes the simplest efforts are the most meaningful.
